Sale Of Cocoa Hi-Tech Fertilisers To Cocoa Farmers

Distribution of Cocoa Hi-Tech fertilisers to cocoa farmers is expected

to begin in May 2010. The average purchase price per bag is Gh¢57.99.

However, COCOBOD is offering a bag of fertiliser to cocoa farmers at

Gh¢25.00, representing a subsidy of about 57%. This is aimed at

improving the yield of cocoa farms thereby enhancing the incomes of

cocoa farmers.

Fertilisers could be obtained from cocoa inputs company shops, MOFA

district offices and Cocoa Licenced Buying Companies across the

country.
